Are Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed Dating?

New couple alert in the vampire world; it seems that The Vampire Diaries star Ian Somerhalder and Twilight star Nikki Reed were spotted out and about around Los Angeles this weekend. The maybe new couple was at the farmers market, dressed down in casual clothing and looking exceptionally comfortable and casual together.

The 35-year-old Vampire Diaries star was dressed in sweatpants and a gray tee, and the 26-year-old Twilight star was dressed in a workout tank, workout leggings and tennis shoes. If they weren’t together for romantic reasons, they were definitely together either going to the gym or had already gone to the gym. Both stars have been through breakups in the past year.

Somerhalder was in a relationship with his Vampire Diaries co-star Nina Dobrev for many years. The couple split in 2013 but have remained friends – which is good since they do work together every single day. Reed and her husband, American Idol alum Paul McDonald, announced their divorce earlier this year.

“After much consideration, Nikki Reed and Paul McDonald are ending their marriage. They have been living separately for the past six months due to work obligations. They will continue to share their love of music, and are still working on their debut album, I’m Not Falling, releasing in 2014. The remain best friends and look forward to their continued journey together,” was the statement their rep gave when the two announced their separation earlier this year.

While neither party’s rep has issued a statement as to whether or not the two “vampires” are together, we can only hope these two vamps are. How perfect a combination is two vampires from two of the best vampire series on television and in the movies? While they may have just been at the same gym, the two stars did look mighty comfortable together according to witnesses.
