Who is Dexter Lumis on-screen wife? Know all about Indi Hartwell

Despite being in an on-screen marriage with Indi Hartwell, we do not know if Dexter Lumis is married in real life. Like his on-screen persona, Dexter prefers to keep his personal life private, and not a lot is known about whether he is married or not. 

Indi Hartwell is a fellow professional wrestler on the NXT brand and she is also a former NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion which she won alongside Johnny Gargano’s wife Candice LeRae.

Hartwell proposed to her on-screen boyfriend Dexter Lumis on NXT after months of promos together. She was the bride in a kayfabe wedding when she married her -now-on-screen spouse Lumis on the first episode of NXT 2.0, where the brand promised new beginnings. At Halloween Havoc, Hartwell and Persia Pirotta competed for the NXT women’s tag titles in a losing triple threat Scareway to Hell Ladder match against the Toxic Attraction and Shirai and Stark. She appeared on the episode of 205 Live from November 12 and defeated Valentina Feroz.

Dexter Lumis in WWE

Shaw secured a deal with WWE and would go to the WWE Performance Center on February 11, 2019. On March 16, he competed in an NXT house show and lost to Fabian Aichner. Lumis was defeated by Bronson Reed in the opening round of the competition.

He helped Velveteen Dream defeat The Undisputed Era in a tag team match after Dream’s partner, Keith Lee, was eliminated by Damian Priest. In a subsequent attempt to help Dream during his NXT Championship bout against Adam Cole on the May 6 episode of NXT, Lumis mistakenly knocked out the referee, costing Dream the match and the title.

On-screen relationship with Indi Hartwell

NXT: New Year’s Evil was hosted by Lumis on January 6, 2021. Due to interference from Austin Theory, he lost to Johnny Gargano in a non-title match the following week on NXT. Prior to the North American title contest between Gargano and The Way at NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day, Lumis kidnapped Theory. Indi Hartwell began to feel attracted to Lumis when he defeated Gargano on the NXT broadcast airing on February 24 in a non-title match in which Theory hesitated to strike him with a chair.

After the two won a bout on NXT, Indi Hartwell asked Lumis to marry her on August 17, 2021, and Lumis said yes. They were married after Lumis choked the priest during the wedding, Beth Phoenix, who had just been ordained, was able to take over. Additionally, Lumis uttered his first words in the WWE by saying “I do.” The Way disbanded on the NXT broadcast of December 7 after Johnny Gargano decided to depart when his contract expired. Shaw’s WWE contract was initially terminated on April 29, 2022.
